Outstanding uses essential cookies for authentication and analytics cookies to understand how people use the product so we can improve it. We do not use advertising, remarketing, or third-party tracking cookies.

Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog, a privacy-focused product analytics platform, to understand how people use Outstanding. When you accept analytics cookies, PostHog collects usage data such as page views, button clicks, heatmaps, and session replays. Session replays record interface interactions (clicks, scrolls, navigation) with form text automatically masked. Analytics data is linked to your account (user ID, email, name) to help us understand per-user usage patterns. Replays are retained for 30 days.
PostHog data is hosted in the EU. We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising. Analytics helps us identify bugs, improve UX, and prioritise features.
Error Monitoring (Sentry)
We use Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring. Sentry collects error stack traces, browser metadata, and IP addresses when errors occur. Sentry may also capture session replays when errors are detected to help us diagnose issues. Sentry operates under our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable service and is not gated by cookie consent. Sentry data is hosted in the US.
What We Do NOT Use
- No Google Analytics or other cross-site analytics tools
- No advertising or remarketing cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- No fingerprinting or device-identification technologies
Local Storage
We use browser local storage (not cookies) for the following:
- Cookie consent preference: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies so we respect your choice across sessions.
Managing Cookies
You can change your analytics cookie preference at any time via the cookie consent banner or in your account Settings. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Outstanding.
